Capital Region Arts in Education
We are a “Work of Art” being presented by the Capital Region Center for
Arts in Education. Alberto and I presented our program to teachers and school administrators
July 1st, which was very well received.
“The Capital Region Center for Arts in Education” (CRCAIE) is a dynamic
partnership of educators and artists designed to bring art-centered learning to young people
in elementary , middle and high schools. Founded on the Lincoln Center Institute model
of Aesthetic Education, 25 years ago, CRCAIE has brought Capital Region schools a comprehensive
professional development program that supports teachers in the use of new strategies for
making the arts central to teaching and learning. This experiential approach strengthens
student and teachers critical thinking, creative problem solving, imaginative and perceptual
abilities.
This is a great opportunity for us to reach all age groups in the Capital Region schools
and to teach them about the Neapolitan School of Music of XVIII Century, and a great
opportunity to be involved with an established organization.
We hope to be booked into schools during the week of November 17-21. Their
web site is www.centerforaie.org.
We are very pleased and excited about this project.
